Economic Development Authority

Rothsay Economic Development Authority’s two main goals are to attract new business and increase the city’s population. To accomplish these goals, the EDA is offering incentives on both new and existing home sales, and incentives for new businesses.

Free water and sewer for one year are available to any qualified buyer or builder. Vacant lots and land are also for sale for commercial development at very reasonable prices. Additionally, the EDA is currently renovating commercial space for any future business interested in opening in Rothsay. The 1,000 square foot commercial building will be finished into a “vanilla box” where any potential buyer can then finish the space to their specifications.
