Rothsay Area Community Fund

The Rothsay Area is a strong and vibrant community. At times, however, it is necessary for the existence of an organization to help promote, enhance and care about its citizens and their activities, whether it's a business, social event, or a humanitarian need.

The Rothsay Area Community Fund was established to strengthen our local community and provide a financial support base to prepare for the future.

Five areas of focus have been established.

  1. Rothsay Public School
  2. Scholarship Fund
  3. Humanitarian Fund
  4. Historical Preservation
  5. General Fund

Your gift to the Rothsay Area Community Fund will help improve the quality of life and strengthen the sense of community in the Rothsay area. Under the direction of a local advisory committee, funds are distributed as grants to local non-profit groups, loans to assist business start-ups and expansions, scholarships to graduating seniors, and aid to those in need of disaster, medical or emergency assistance.

You can make charitable contributions in a number of ways.

  1. Cash donations
  2. Gifts of stocks and bonds
  3. Gifts of life insurance
  4. Gifts of personal properties (real estate, homes, etc.)
  5. Gifts of charitable annuities
  6. Gifts of charitable remainder annuity or unity trusts
  7. Gifts of lead trusts
  8. Gifts through wills and bequests
  9. Gifts from retirement programs

As an affiliate of West Central Initiative, all gifts to the Rothsay Area Community Fund qualify for maximum tax deductions allowed by law. Prospective donors are encouraged to contact their attorney, trust officer, accountant, financial planner or tax consultant for assistance in developing their own personal estate and charitable giving program.
