When it is time to relax and unwind, you'll find plenty to do in the Rothsay area. In the summertime, fishing opportunities abound with a good share of Minnesota's 10,000 lakes in Rothsay's backyard. There is almost always a baseball game going on in one of Rothsay's parks, and the mild weather is great for biking, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

In the wintertime, snowmobiling and ice fishing become the top pastimes. Rothsay residents now have access to more than 270 miles of snowmobile trails literally in their backyard. Two skiing and snowboarding facilities within an hour's drive add to the winter fun. And, during football, volleyball, and basketball season, you'll find a great game and a good time waiting for you to enjoy at the school.

If golf is your passion, you'll find four golf courses within 25 minutes of Rothsay, and several more within just an hour's drive. If flying is your hobby, two airports within 20 minutes will serve your hangar and rental needs. On a smaller scale, the Fergus Falls Regional RC Flyers club flying site is just 15 minutes away, and the Pelican Rapids Municipal Airport is another great place to fly.
